great book, seriously! a jem in the oblivion of litrpg these days. not so much rpg elements due to no solid leveling really but is so funny its totally worth the listen. humor reminds me of the book “off to be a wizard” with its humor. the MC would get along great with Martin and crew. Also a bit of “Bobiverse” feel to the humor as well. Loved it and it went to fastly. Def a book you can loose sleep listening too haha

Okay so like seriously, cultivation stories are usually cringy. This story is follows a modern logical person with a fun personality and a more colorful cast of people. I really enjoyed this series. His personality is quirky and semi relatable BUT NOT CRINGY. Thats a huge factor in protagonists of any series. Chinese cultivation stories usually as a huge disconnect due to culture. Though this is written in a digestable way to western/japanese readers. I definately recommend this as one of the top 30 litrpgs ive ever listened too.

not to mention the amazing voice acting of the narrator. This guy NAILED it, he is very enthusiastic but also seems to actually be having fun reading the story.
Also I can’t stop imaging celes as lana from pokemon sun and moon.

Look, I love a good cultivation story, but this ain’t it. I am completely baffled by the positive comments on this. The book kinda reads like a crammed together series of amateur creative writing 4chan green text. Within the first half hour, there are major internal consistency contradictions about the magic system, which is pretty unfortunate given that much of the book is dedicated to the main character discovering the rules and musing upon the nature of said system. The tone, tense, and POV seem subject to jarring change without warning. It’s simply terribly written.
The few stars I give this is due entirely to the narrator delivering the best he could with the pile of schlock He was handed. Dude’s a trooper.

This aint it, the perspective is weird, tons of inconsistancies, and its cringy as hell. I dont get what all these positive comments are about, i wouldnt bother waiting for it since there are never seeders either.
