When the government thinks they have a lead on an inexpensive energy source, they throw together a research project for it, disregarding some unfortunate occurrences with similar research previously. The theory is that they can create a wormhole that will constantly allow energy through, then they’ll convert the energy into electricity and feed it into the grid. Maxwell Carter works a maintenance job at a government research facility.
The research lab he works at has an accident, more energy coming through the wormhole than anticipated, enough to completely rupture the shields that were supposed to contain it until they finished determining how to convert the energy into electricity. Previously harmless animals are changed to nightmare threats and people are dying, seemingly due to incidents related directly to their interests.
Max and his friend Ron make it out of the facility alive, although the rest of the people in the facility aren’t so lucky. The strangeness that was surrounding the labs seems to be expanding, even reaching his home within a day or two. Now strange screens, reminiscent of some of the online games he’s played, are appearing in his vision, and apparently Prometheus, the AI running on the supercomputer from the research lab, is the one in charge of it all and is dedicated to spreading this new energy worldwide.

Okay, got this one just about 15 mins or so ago. Figured I’d up it ASAP since (even though it’s a holiday tomorrow) they want me to work and ‘fix’ some issues. I swear I spend more time at work than at home with the wife…she’s calling it her mini vacation. Wonder if I should be insulted or worried? lol
Writer is someone I have heard of and listened to many of his books.
Narrator seems familiar but, just can’t place him at the moment.

Up here in Canada, tomorrow (Monday) places (government and some stores/ect.) will have it off for what we use to call Treaty Day. Now, it’s called Peace and Reckensiluation) with the Natives.
Getting paid time and a half plus a day but, not every province is doing it and, some stores and the like aren’t either. Anything government related is and, so it’s a real mixup for some stuff.
Okay, it’s already late here on the east coast, night all.

great upload, book itself is meh, author isn’t great at writing natural conversations between characters which sadly is the majority of the book. Narrators voice isn’t annoying or anything but only has typical male voice and typical falsetto.
Mediocrity distilled into it’s purest form but not bad.

The segment where a 80 year old woman flirts with the MC is just painful and it just goes on and on. Is this what the author is in to? Why would he do this? Gross!

Why is an 80+ woman flirting with the MC? It doesn’t end. Even though she gets younger it’s still weird and gross. I’m with fall19 on the author possibly having some weird Proclivities.

This books is awesome and of course mags the 80 year old woman is awesome 👌 pretty sure guys made the comment about it being cringe an older woman wishes she could reverse her age younger girls love older men but younger men hate older women so no its not cringe 😉 she gets to live her best life again thats awesome.plus this story is just good max and Ron are both interesting love it
