Luck can be stolen. Leo just has to survive long enough to do it.
Leo Northwind came home expecting trouble. He didn’t expect to find Frostfair ruled by a man who can rig reality itself.
Lord Winter has claimed a Luck Charm, an artifact of the elder gods that turns probability into a weapon. Locks jam at the worst moment. Escape routes collapse. Rebellions fail before they begin. In Frostfair, bad luck isn’t bad luck anymore—it’s policy.
And the system keeps rubbing it in.
[Quest Updated: Save Frostfair]
[Warning: Success Probability Critically Low.]
If Leo wants his city back, he has to steal the one thing making Winter untouchable.
That means assembling a crew reckless enough to attempt the impossible: a shapeshifter with a fraying Seal, a bard who lies as easily as he breathes, a razor-precise mage-lawyer, and a scarred tank who swore he’d never fight again.
The odds are terrible. The notifications are worse. And the Luck Charm already knows he’s coming.
Good thing Leo has never been smart enough to quit.
The Luck Thief of Frostfair is a comedic fantasy LitRPG packed with quest updates, magical disasters, impossible heists, and a lovable crew of misfits fighting to free a frozen city where luck is the deadliest weapon of all.

Zero goodreads reviews, zero royalroad reviews. Anyone listen to this? How is it?
Is it AI slop?

@ Severlin: I’m two hours in, and you are full of shit.
If anyone is interested, it’s not AI and has nothing to do with the odyssey. It’s not system heavy and there are no stats so I’m not sure the litrpg applies more than simply fantasy. I’m liking it so far but I wish the pace was faster. Very good narrator.
Thank you Kenny for the upload.

@Moxtar is a 99.7% a bot or a braindead worse than a zombie…

i did not even endure the first 10mins of the audiobook (that is strangely out already)
why is this not labeled as fully AI generated content?

What? who is right?

It has several reviews on Amazon. I listened to like 5 minutes and while I don’t like the narrator it doesn’t sound like AI to me.

Still, one night in November, as the winds of winter came down from the north and ice spread across the southern lands, two figures could be seen striding along one of those narrow roads, winding around the peak known as the Mindorlan.
Or, something like that. Mindorlan, Mindithisan, Miti-clodilin, it was a word in the local language that neither of the party could even begin to pronounce. Leo, the leader of the two, pressed onward, his feet numb as the rock beneath them… i am not a native english speaker buttt this is 5 times longer than normal sentences and Kommata; also very stale imho. i would not even mind ai narration/writing if it was good.

severlin: This just sounds like creative writing. Something very rare in the LitRPG genre which is normally very mechanic sounding.
Did you never read any of the “great authors/books”? Like James Joyce, Fitzgerald? What are “normal sentences” for you? You should evaluate that for yourself. It is weird to me that you don’t like such creative writing. Do you just want something to have running in the background?
Note, I haven’t listened to it and I don’t mean any of it in a bad way.

I have read gibbons Rome Dostoyevsky Tolstoy and many other authors I’m going to give this a shot and see.
If you want to listen to the beautiful use of the English language then you really want to read Gibbons the decline in fall of the Roman Empire.
But that doesn’t mean it’s AI.
Sometimes people with education and have read too much stuff like Gibbon or Tolstoy.
Sometimes they get a bit verbose but I’ll check it out and see
