“You shall serve me in death… and beyond!”
Greg was your average American college student, until he fell into an open grave and awoke in a sinister world of darkness, death, and the macabre and was then initiated into the Domotraus Academy.
The Domotraus Academy, a school for sorcerers to learn dark magic deemed illegal by other mages, a school that teaches arcane secrets, a school that brokers pacts with demons from the abyss. This academy and its horrifying faculty will train Greg to master death itself and to become the greatest necromancer in history.
But the most important lesson is about power: dark sorcerers learn to dominate others and take what they want. Wealth, power, women. All of these are essential steps on the path to eternal life and arcane omnipotence for a sorcerer powerful enough to grasp it.
Those who do not shall perish. And that’s when their service truly begins.

It’s early yet, but this series seems to have a lot to recommend it. I don’t think much of the protagonist’s introduction before he’s isekaid, but, and attempting to avoid spoilers so far as is possible, it’s kind of like a demonic take on Harry potter, if the Harry Potter franchise was more honest about the dangers of attending Hogwarts. Or, to put it another way, take the idea of Hogwarts. But replace Dumbledore with a demon, the professors don’t really care whether a student lives or dies and accept that the the strong or clever or cunning will survive, and as for the weak or unlucky… well, they won’t. And throw in a bit of sex. I was skeptical at first, and if I hadn’t started listening to it while prying ceramic tiles off of a bathroom wall I’d never have gotten past the opening, because there’s just something about college kids and drunken parties that offends me to my soul, and I can’t figure out whether it’s because I consider such people to be so far beneath me, or because I’m jealous that I never got to experience being that sort of debauchery firsthand. Either way, instead of connecting with the protagonist, I started off despising him. But I stuck with it, and I was glad I did. I still don’t *like* him, and there’s more than a little bit of plot armor protecting him, but I think the author has actually managed to create something interesting and the narration is… well-done. Over-the-top in places, and expect to hear the phrase ‘blood magic’ spoken as if by someone not entirely conventionally sane many, many, many times… but I think it’s worth a listen. It isn’t quality literature… but after one gets into it, it’s interesting and entertaining. Quality is good, so far as my ear can tell, as good as my Audible copy, and download speed/availability is good too.
Thanks for the upload, by the way!
