At 30 years old, Phil is an unemployed gamer who struggles to make ends meet. His only source of income is freelance writing (when he feels inspired enough to add another article to his less-than-popular blog). His wife has just walked out on him, leaving him without money, purpose, or food in the fridge.
On the day his wife dumps him, Phil receives a mysterious piece of wetware. A game interface seems to have been implanted in his brain, which allows him to see the world through the eyes of an RPG player.
Now that Phil discovers his real-life stats, he can see they’re far below average. With 4 pt. Agility, 6 pt. Strength, and 3 pt. Stamina, his most advanced life skill is predictably gaming.
Luckily, real-life stats can be leveled up just like virtual ones. But will it help Phil get his wife back? Can he stop being such a couch potato? Would the new game help him become fitter? Or more successful? Can his gaming skills finally come in handy in real life?
Last but not least, can he find out who could have uploaded the mysterious game to his brain? And how is he supposed to deal with this unknown but apparently omnipotent force?

Wow I saw this originally in wattpad. It has 6 chapters or so, and I remembered saying, hey this is a good one, but then I cannot find it in Amazon and sort of forgot all about it. Now its here, thanks uploader!

I didn’t really enjoy this book. It wasn’t for me, but I’m sure some of you enjoyed it.

yea i found this book to be very dull, all about a guy bumming it through his pathetic life and getting a game UI for a year. nothing happening for more than half the book and i couldn’t even finish it.

Was this book exciting and a thrilling narrative? Not at all but I found it hard to put down. I was so enthralled with the story and so curious about what would happen. It wasn’t exciting but it was well written at least and very well planned out.

Yeah this book isn’t a thrill ride its all slice of life type stuff but I too could not stop listening. Because of this book I’ve decided to quit smoking for some reason the idea that small changes can help you level up resonated with me. Anyhow I hope the next book gets recorded soon. Thank you for sharing I trully mean it.

I’ve noticed dan sugralinov really likes adding love triangles and complicated relationships to his stories. With disgardium, its jumping from 1 girl to the next, she leaves him, jealousy, blah blah blah,
“its complicated” its SO ANNOYING. In all of his books, he constantly makes the protagonist jump from new girl to new girl, promply dumping the old one and forgetting about them. Its such a chore to listen to all this relationship crap when theres nothing to show for it. Its just filler and adds nothing to the story.
The story itself is decent but slow. It does fufill some fantasies of mine when I was younger. I’ve always thought about if I were able to locate all the evil people in the world and kidnapped or lost, what would I do. Though it was barely explored into.

Impossibly boring. I’ve skipped an entire chapter because he was talking about his snickers, and he was still talking about his snickers…
First, starts the book talking at length and in details of how much looser he is. Nothing to pick my interest or sympathy. The quality of writing itself is so very basic, the story he tells of himself is so dull, and whatever he does is so pointless. Give me something, at least! I have no reason to continue reading this gray mash of nothingness!
Usually, if a book isn’t terrible, I’ll try giving it a chance to get through the introduction part to the main plot. Yet here I just couldn’t bear the amalgamation of dullness and pointlessness of the it. As the therapy patients pay their therapists to listen to their whinings, I feel that if I to read this book any farther, I should also be compensated for my time and effort.
