Thanks for the upload really looking forward to this. I always prefer litRPG when they’re set in a real world not just a game world.

World Building - 7/10
Characters - 7/10
Narrator - 8/10
Story - 6/10
Strong characterization. Basically tries to really portray the hardships of suddenly being in an RPG when things get real. Not as bleak as The Dark Paladin series. But lacks the fun and charm of some of the more common LITRPG’s on the site.

This is what bothers me here this books is in litrpg but other than taking place in a game world turned real or returned to real if you will. There’s no leveling no char development no game mechanics but yet its accepted as litrpg. Whereas, Dantes Immortality is not because it doesn’t take place in a game world yet it has more leveling and game mechanics than this. Anyway I digress, the story was hard to get through it lacked the banter that gamers usually engage in still not the worst in the genre by far.

I totally agree with aerepairer.
I do not accept such as LitRpg.
To my mind its only LitRpg if it has RPG mechanics.
Otherwise its just alternate reality/fantasy.
The whole thing with Dantes Immortality is that it actually is set in a game world. The difference being that its so on a larger scale, as in the whole world is artificial and the gods(or higher entity) seem to be its creators.
So if this book goes from being an Rpg and then turns to reality while at the same time changing the game mechanics/laws of the world from such, then its turned from an RPG into an AR(trandsfer)fantasy.
