Thanks for the upload!
I’ve dropped the first book. Even after the MC getting a cheat ability for no good reason, he continues to behave like a spineless victim of abuse who is suffering from a Stockholm syndrome. The rest of the characters are mostly similarly unpleasant and unsympathetic, for whom bulling weaker ones is a norm. The whole world is depressing, blatantly exploitative and unjust, and the game seems too convenient for the needs of the plot.
The meat of LitRPG — the progression, is treated like some secondary sub-plot and feels far from being as though through as one should expect. I wasn’t invested in this VR-game world any more than I was with the characters. Even the NPCs are corrupt, exploitative and borderline evil.
If you’re hopping for some escapism into a more optimistic world of swords and magic — this book is definitely not for you. If you want a depressing dystopia manned with characters of ugly personalities — maybe then you’ll like it.
