NOTE: I used the xHE-AAC codec which appears to be less supported than AAC-LC which .m4a files usually use. I made this decision as I noticed the quality difference, especially with sibilance (those sharp s sounds) and encountered no support issues myself with Smart Audiobook Player but a commenter noted running into this problem with VLC and MPC.
Schemes are afoot, both grand and wretched alike. But all plots come to light, even the ones buried deepest… and once again, The Wandering Inn connects to these great events.
In Chandrar, the King of Destruction’s war with the faltering kingdom of Jecrass has reached a turning point, and a terrible climactic battle awaits. But the knife that cuts through every plot is simply honor.
In the north, Ryoka and Fierre are riding the high of their amazing delivery to the Archmage of Izril, but their challenges won’t end with one run. They’re approaching the realm of Couriers; that means the stakes have never been higher.
Monsters below and plots hatched from all sides, from the Circle of Thorns to the dungeon of Liscor, but the greatest story is perhaps one of mercy: the Yellow Rivers disease has evolved and is sweeping across Baleros. What stands between it and the world?
Just a bit of courage.
Just… Couriers.

This is my first time sharing so I hope everything worked correctly! Extracted as m4b from Audible using Libation set for maximum quality. I saw another torrent up before mine but the sound quality was underwhelming.

Thanks so much!

Is this series good?
I started book one but put it aside.
Too slow start for me

@Lobsob - There are 19 books so far and there are at least 19 more to come. I would say it’s good. It’s so good for me I’m pondering whether I will start reading the novel ahead instead of waiting for the audiobooks.

@Lobsob The series is a favourite of mine within the LitRPG genre up there with Dungeon Crawler Carl (the latest of which I still need to read). There have been a few plot points through the series that brought me to tears and I cannot remember the last time a book had such an impact on me.
The first book is, in my opinion, the weakest one with the narrator figuring out her characters and the author not quite honed in yet.
There is also a narrator change part way through the series but the first narrator chose their replacement and the transition is nearly seamless. If anything I like the second more.

Running into playback issues. Doesn’t want to play in VLC (PC), VLC (Android), or MPHC (PC). Oddly it plays fine within Firefox (PC)

@KazelRPK Hey! I checked into it and the .m4a file uses the xHE-AAC codec (https://getlibation.com/docs/features/audio-file-formats#xhe-aac) to get the best quality audio and it looks like this is a less commonly supported format. I’ll add a disclaimer about that in the body of the post but you’ll just need to check that your audioplayer supports the xHE-AAC codec. I use Smart Audiobook Player on android and can’t recommend it enough.

thank you

I appreciate the post. The codec is not playing at a remarkably higher quality to require me to download new apps just to play it and I will just stick to the lower Kbps post. Unless a lot more books show up using xHE-AAC I dont understand its use here,

@Lobsob it does world building really, really well. I think of it as almost a slice-of-life isekai since the author sorta just lets the characters experience a fantasy world at their pace & there really isn’t one main villain or storyline in the series. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I personally like using this series as a buffer between more serious reads

@lobsob
Yes the books are fun. But its litRPG meets cozy core. Thats not everyones vibes.
Also the whole thing started as a web series. So its not only got “new writer issues” at the start but it was also be be little one off stories. Then they got compiled into a book.
The first book has been rewritten but its still does not flow like a normal book. Thats a big turn off for lots of folks.
All that said it gets better. She improves as a writer. The stories gain more foundation and arc. They weave together better.
And here we are 19 books in and at least that many more to go! So yea I’d say its worth if if your into Lit RPG.
This series and DCC are the only two litRPG i can stand. But they are both great. Just very different vibes.

@fauqur Because I made this for myself, noticed a difference in quality between the codec options (especially with sibilance), encountered no playback issues myself using the audiobook app I have always used and decided I would share the file? There was one other copy of this book at that time which had a comment saying the quality wasn’t great and upon confirming that myself decided I could do better. Perhaps I won’t do so again. I hope you enjoy a long walk off a short pier.

@fauqur I must apologize for that incredibly rude and uncalled for comment. I have been having an awful day and took it out on you after misreading what you wrote. I would delete or edit if I could. Sorry again for my entirely unjustified and misdirected anger.

This file type plays fine on my Prologue app. The file size is quite large compared to what I usually DL and I’m not sure my ears are good enough to tell the difference in quality. Since the only other copy has complaints in the reviews I’m grateful to @OddCoat1167 for giving me an alternative.
