Okay, sounded like a solid book to try and, I do like dungeon core books. At first, there is an echo to the audio but, it fixes itself during the book’s runtime. VLC can help with the echo at the first part of the book. Audible has to get better with quality control but, didn’t pay for it so…can’t really fully complain.:)

This isn’t a good story. Everything is repeated 5-8 times with the MC being told she should do something then her complaining/thinking about about it, then her guide making a suggestion, then MC whining about the exact same thoughts again, then finally doing something similar, then repeat her ruminating about it, then the fairy making a comment, then MC complaining, then a software development reference from her past, then reviewing the current idea through the software viewpoint, then again twice in a row for no reason, then more random ruminating about what’s she’s done up to this point, then finally on to the next tiny plot advancement where that same structure repeats again. Toss in random, useless System messages disparaging the MC. The MC is just too much. She never shuts up.
DNF at 3 hours when the indoctrination of the 3rd character in the book is like Babylon 5’s Zathras (they are all Zathras). The book is 16 hours long and this is the first book I had to slow down to better understand what was going on. Normally I speed them up.
Read the book if you like viewing the world through a HR distorted lens of software project management as experienced in the mind of Donna Noble.
Audio quality seemed fine to me.

Okay, so it wasn’t my audio that gave me issues….it was an update to my freaking soundcard that even made VLC glitch for the last few days. So, as stated by many, audio is fine with the book.
I am 8 chapters in and, will admit….it’s different. It seems to be getting better and better as the chapter’s pass along so, I’ll finish it and see what I think of it all at the end.
