Not nearly as bad as it could have been. Knew nothing of the author or narrator but yeah that was pretty good for a new series from an unknown. Looking forward to the next one.

One of the better books I have read in the last 6 months.
Motivating multiple ways = check
Under dog = Check
Evil characters and evil group with somewhat understandable motivations = check
Backstabbing = check
Stable world = check
Hot girl = not really
Leaves you eager for more = check
